Come join us for a gathering of local experts, trail blazers and seasoned professionals from around our area who will participate in sharing information and a discussion panel where your questions are the focus! Door prizes!!

Working with Students and staff to maintain skills and energy as they experience the approach of high stress situations - testing season, end of school year and summer break. Focus will be on managing triggers to manage the stress with successful outcomes.

DR. CHRISTEN KNOWLES, PROFESSOR AT U OF OREGON SPECIALIZING IN AUTISM AND E/BD.

Her work is committed to developing interventions and strategies that account for the realities of practice embedded in classroom systems already in place.

Tools to Maintain Energy & Finish Strong

SALLY CARMAN, REQUESTED TRAINER FOR MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, AND SCHOOL PERSONNEL.

Her focus as an Occupational Therapist is strength-based treatment with adults, children, teens and young adults affected by trauma and adverse experiences; this includes families with foster and adopted children.

Dyslexia

DR. ALICIA ROBERTS FRANK, ESD 113 ADDRESSING DYSLEXIA.

She is a Regional Administrator for Special Programs/Dyslexia Specialist, and she is trained in Slingerland, a classroom adaptation of the Orton Gillingham approach for teaching students with dyslexia. She taught special education for pre-service teachers and has presented nationally on dyslexia and structured literacy.
